Jillian Norah Hennely was born on the 25th of November, 1968. She is a renowned Canadian actress and performer with a notable contribution to American television. Her work has received praise by her remarkable performances in the American television series Law & Order in which she impressed viewers over three seasons in the role of an attorney Claire Kincaid, and Crossing Jordan for six years in which she portrayed the main character Jordan Cavanaugh. Hennessy has also showcased her talents in films like RoboCop 3 Most Wanted, Chutney Popcorn, and The Acting Class. In addition, she created and directed these films. Hennessy started her acting career alongside her sister in 1988 by playing twin call-girls in Dead Ringers. In 1990, she briefly was on Broadway on Broadway as Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story. Then, she moved into science fiction and portrayed the role of Dr. Marie Lazarus (RoboCop 3) in 1993. Her big break came later in the year, after she was cast as assistant District Attorney Claire Kincaid on the hit NBC drama Law & Order. The show's viewers were captivated by her character for three seasons before the end of 1996 when she left. Parker was in movies such as RED Fried Green Tomatoes Boys on the Side, West Wing Angels in America as well as Boys On The Side. She received a Golden Globe Award and Emmy Award for her part in these television series. Parker is also the recipient for the award in 2001. Tony Award for Best Actress for her role in the Broadway play Proof.
