Whitney Houston and Dana Bash

Whitney Elizabeth Houston was conceived in a musical family on 9 August 1993 in Newark New Jersey. Whitney is a cousin and daughter to singing superstar Dionne. Whitney's mother and her began singing professionally at the New Hope Baptist Church of Newark when Whitney was only fifteen years old. The two sang backing vocals for Chaka Khans 1978 track Im Every Woman. She continued to offer back vocals to Jermaine Jackson, Lou Rawls and her mother, and also did a brief stint as models for the cover of Seventeen magazine in 1981. Her singing with band from New York Material have attracted record companies of all sizes which included Arista. She signed with Arista in 1983 where she continued to work for the rest of her career. Her debut album Whitney Houston was released in 1985 and quickly became the top-selling album by a debut artist. Tracks like the title track, The Most Beautiful Love of All, How Will I Know If You Give Good Love, and Saving all My Love were all released on the album. These songs enabled Houston to earn 7 US top tens which were higher than even the top tens of The Beatles. The album sold 3 million copies its first year, as well as 25 million around the world. She won her first six Grammys. Its Whitney 1987 release, featuring the songs Where Do Broken Hearts and I Wanna Dance With Somebody as popular songs, was a way to build on her success. But the 1992 film The Bodyguard sealed her spot as one of the most successful musicians in history. Although the film was not well-received and neither did her performance, but the soundtrack to the film's Dolly Parton version I Will Always Love You hit the top of both the albums and singles charts in the United States for a period of time. She sold 44,000,000 copies. Her daughter Bobbi was born in the month of March of 1993, the year she got married to Bobby Brown. Around this time her use of drugs was well-documented and she was able to use it regularly until 1996.

Dana Bash also known as Dana Ruth Schwartz is an American reporter anchorwoman and political correspondent for CNN. She has produced shows for CNN, including Evans & Novak' Late Edition' and Inside Politics'. Bash received a Women in Washington Power List honor by Elle magazine. Bash is renowned for her incredible anchoring/reporting abilities and she's loved by the younger journalists. Her one child is the pride of her life.
